Karleen Grummett, Juneau

Karleen Grummett has been writing for most of her life including PR for various groups, freelance writing for "Info-Juneau Magazine" (for which she received an Alaska Press Women's Award), and researching and writing a 47-year history for the Territorial Sportsman. Karleen taught writing for UAS until last year when she did something she asks her students to do: "write about something that interests you." Following her own advice, she and her husband traveled Alaska, visiting and playing golf in all but three of the 23 courses and in June she published Golf Alaska! The Great Alaska Golf Guide
