Shipping Policy

Thank you for visiting and shopping at www.hearthsidebooks.com. The following are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.

Domestic Shipping Policy

Shipment processing time

All orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays. Orders can be delayed for pickup depending on if it is out of stock and a special order has to be placed for the books in the order.If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, processing and shipment times may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery coming from Alaska.
For web orders we make an effort to let you know if the book is in stock or not.  If the book(s) are not in stock it can take anywhere from 10 to 14 days for special ordered books to come in. There are sometimes longer delays depending on how old the print date of the books is and if there is difficulty in locating a distributor for it. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Shipping rates & delivery estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. We offer both USPS Priority Flat Rates (w/tracking info) and Media Mail (w/o tracking).

Delivery delays can occasionally occur.

Shipment to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses

Hearthside Books does ship to PO BOX addresses within the U.S., U.S. Territories, and APO/FPO/DPO addresses.

Shipment Confirmation & Order tracking

We typically do not provide a shipping confirmation and order tracking for mailouts sent USPS flat rate, unless requested.  If you would like a shipment confirmation or tracking number please specify in the order comments section of the order or you can email service@hearthsidebooks.com.  Please include your order number!

Customs, Duties and Taxes

Hearthside Books only collects tax from those zip codes within the City and Borough of Juneau and is not responsible for any other customs and taxes applied to your order. All other fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

Damages

If you received your order damaged, please contact us at hearthside@heartsidebooks.com and we will work with you to put in a claim and/or help you to order another undamaged item.  We will try to accommodate on case by case basis. Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim, and we may request pictures to help us expedite any claims we might submit.

International Shipping Policy

We currently do not ship outside the U.S. Please contact us if you are in Canada to see if we might accommodate your order.
